A day of shopping!

Today was a good day. Charlene and her husband picked me up at 8:30 am and we drove the long drive to the new super duper store in Frisco: IKEA. It was wonderful. It was a catalog in store form. They had everything and it was all pretty much affordable! We went with a plan. Look at everything, take mental notes on stuff we liked, especially bigger stuff, only buy a few small items and go home. I think we did quite well. Charlene did a bit better than me, but in my defense I only bought three things. I got a feather-comforter (Queen) for $25, and the cover for the same price! Plus, I bought this neat little herb chopper that is really easy, and it was only $10. There were so many great, interesting and bizarre items, but I did find a few that I really like and want to get in the future. We were there until 2 or 3pm and then Charlene’s wonderful husband drove us ALL the way back in horrid traffic. THEN, I had to go the drugstore, and the grocery- it was just a bunch of shopping. But all enjoyable.
I talked to JaNae tonight and thanked her for my wonderful graduation present: Fix it & Forget it: Lightly. And i even made one of the meals out of it tonight, but I didn’t have time to Forget it, so I just fixed it. It was pretty good, too! A lot of the meals out of the book are South Beach friendly, so it’s really great.
Now, I’m getting ready for our big bash this weekend! I have been slowly cleaning up the house and tomorrow I am going to order the cake for the graduates. Plus, I need to hang up all our Buckeye stuff for the big game! I’ve got a busy week ahead, finally, some of it involving job searching =) Later folks.
