Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time once again for Karyn to attempt this whole-wearing glasses thing. No, Heather and Jason, your wish hasn’t come true, I haven’t been relegated to the realm of contacts and constant eyewear. I can still see my alarm when I get up in the morning. I just have an astigmatisatigmism. What, you say? Well, rather than listen to my feeble attempt to explain it, just Click HERE. These people seem to have some good information. I just have the condition a little bit and I don’t really notice it much at all, but for me I thinks it’s part of why I keep getting headaches, and all this computer time can wear my eyes out. So, my ‘normal’ vision is still fine, I just have this astigathingy, so I’m supposed to wear them, you guessed it, while reading and on the computer and … now that I’m old enough to drive…night driving! How fun! Hehe. Anyhow, the doc said that an astigmatism (ha! see, i can spell it!) can cause double vision or shadows around the edges of things, headaches and eye strain and stuff like that. So, in 4-6 days, I’ll have me a new pair of glasses! Yay for insurance! And Mom, don’t worry, I got the scratch resistant kind and the two year warranty – cause we all know what happened to the last pair of real glasses I owned. Teehee.
