Well, ok, God made shrimp…. I just prepared them for dinner! All by myself! It was even my idea. I purchased RAW shrimp, deveined, but unpeeled. Then I brought them home, peeled them all myself, marinated them in soy sauce and lemon juice and then cooked them on my George-Foreman-With-Removable-Plates. =) And they were even good! You can ask John! This may not seem like a big deal to most people, especially you coastal types who were fed seafood from a baby jar….but I grew up on Van De Kamps wonderful fish sticks. My extent of “seafood” preparation knowledge consisted of turning on the oven and opening the fish sticks box and baking the fish sticks. The same amount of skill it takes to make totinos pizza rolls. So each step I make in the becoming-better-at-making-real-seafood-for-dinner journey is a major accomplishment. Yay!
