A Big Ol’ Enchanted Rock

We went to Fredericksburg, TX for our 5 yr wedding anniversary last month.  It was perfect.  The drive/ride wasn’t too long.  The hill country is beautiful.  Winding, but beautiful.  I kept wondering why my motion sickness was bothering me more than when I was there last year running the Ragnar Relay Race. We were on the very same roads.  Then I remember it’s because we were going about 10 mph or less and stopping every few miles to wait for our runner to pass.  Yep, that’ll make a difference.  But I remembered how gorgeous the hill country was in the fall and it didn’t disappoint.  We looked up what was in the area to do besides eat and shop (not that that’s not enough) in Fredericksburg, and we found Enchanted Rock.  It’s pretty darn awesome.  So here are a few photos from our time up on the rock. BEAUTIFUL day and a GORGEOUS view.

Enjoy and have a great day everyone!

  • Rita - You finally went! Did you camp there? I use to go ever couple of years but its been YEARS since I last been. I cannot wait to take Eva there! Miss that hill county.

  • Katie in MA - Fun! You picked a beautiful day for it. I love the 2nd pic of the green spikey plant – it looks so calming.
