Ok! I’m so excited to finally share this wonderful person and these images with you! There are so many amazing women that I have met here in Fort Worth that are so talented and I’ve been wanting to tell you all about them. At long last, I’m starting up my showcase of awesome women business owners: SheRocks! To start off the awesomeness, I’m letting you in on a wonderful secret.
My neighbor is the best massage therapist in the world.
And NO, I am not exaggerating. Her name is Wendy, and she is amazing. Wendy and I went on a little adventure shoot around Fort Worth awhile back just doing some of her favorite things: gardening, relaxing outdoors and to one of her favorite places, La Playa Maya. Thank you Wendy for introducing me to their shrimp cocktail!
I also made Wendy answer my 5 Questions to tell you a little more about her and her business!
1. What is your favorite thing about being a massage therapist?
Making others happy & healthy!
2. What are three things that make you happy?
My work, family & friends.
3. What advice would you give other women who want to run their own business?
Be dependable & always put your clients needs first.
4. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and what would you want to do there?
Any island in the Carribbean, I would offer massages on the beach and enjoy the sunset and ocean while I do what I love, where I love!
5. So what exactly do you do…?
Massage can be utilized to relieve or greatly reduce the symptoms of many problems such as migraines & chronic back pain. It is deeply relaxing & can do wonders to relieve stresses from work/life. When you have muscle pain there is an underlying reason. My training & intuition have taught me to listen closely to your body. I will ask specific questions & utilize my intuitive touch to uniquely tailor a massage that suits your individual needs.
Wendy has created such a peaceful and calming place to experience her massage therapy. It’s wonderful!
And she LOVES hands and any art or sculptures of hands. Her space is decorated with all kinds of artistic examples of the healing that hands can bring.
We headed over to Archie’s Gardenland (which I LOVE) to check out all the wonderful plants and generally cause mischief.
I mean come on! It’s a shrub that looks like a pony!
Then we headed out to Benbrook Lake to take in what was left of the Texas springtime. =) Isn’t she just the sweetest!
And she humors me! Thank you Wendy!!
I LOVED taking photos in the wildflowers! Can you tell? She looks so gorgeous!
Woohoo! I’m so glad I could share this wonderful woman with you!
